Tiger Cave

Caving in Monkey Bay

This large, limestone cave on a private farm adjoining the Monkey Bay Wildlife Sanctuary can be explored on guided tours. The Mayan people once used it as a ceremonial cave, leaving pottery and sacrificial items, and it's also inhabited by false vampire bats, Yucatán banded geckos, tailless whip scorpions and more.

There's a relaxing 20-minute hike through the jungle to get to the cave.
