This beautiful ecolodge on the east bank of the Macal River features nine beautifully furnished cabañas with Mexican-tiled floors and high wooden ceilings (four with private plunge pool), and a few one- and two-bedroom suites. All feature spacious living areas and bathrooms, and river-facing verandas.
Hang out on the river with tubes, boogie boards and canoes, or hike the jungle trails that wind through Mystic River's 180 acres. The lodge also has the new Jasmine Spa and a yoga deck, the open-sided restaurant serves organic foods, and there's an onsite artisanal cheese house. Turn south off Cristo Rey Rd at Mile 6.
