Aptly named, this lodge is an excellent spot for viewing the waterfowl that inhabit the sanctuary's main lagoon. Catering to birdwatchers for more than 15 years, the lodge's 25 rooms are of ample size and include good beds, ceiling fans and Mexican-tile floors. The more expensive rooms upstairs have access to the balcony that yields lovely vistas over the lagoon.
Meals (BZ$30 to BZ$36) are served in a bright dining room. The lodge offers lagoon boat tours (BZ$250), nature walks with experienced bird guides (per person per hour BZ$20), horseback riding (per hour BZ$30) and canoe rental (per canoe per hour BZ$10). There is an onsite gift shop selling local village-made products, including cashew jam, hot sauce and fruit wines. The Bird's Eye View Lodge is about 1 mile south of the 'Welcome to Crooked Tree' sign.
