Many hotels and resorts provide bikes for their guests for a small fee or for free. Otherwise, you can rent a bike at a couple of places in town, such as Beach Cruiser.

The Coastal Xpress operates a regular scheduled passenger boat service between San Pedro town and the resorts on the North Island. Boats leave from the Amigos del Mar pier roughly every 2½ hours from 6am to 10pm. Charter services are also available to destinations outside their normal route or schedule. Tickets costs BZ$10 to BZ$28 depending on distance traveled, but if you are staying on the North Island you may want to consider a week-long pass (BZ$250).

Many resorts and restaurants also offer a water-shuttle service into town for clients.

Golf Cart

These days, traffic jams are not unusual in San Pedro due to the glut of golf carts cruising the streets. Note that some golf carts are battery-powered and others run on gas; the former being more ecologically sound and the latter having greater endurance. Expect to pay between BZ$100 and BZ$160 per day, although when things are slow you can negotiate a sizable discount. Most rental outlets will drop the cart off at your hotel.
