Welcome to Durbuy
Sitting pretty in a green and pleasant valley, Durbuy sells itself as 'Belgium's smallest town'. Or, much more contentiously, 'the world's smallest city'. Photogenic cobblestone alleys of solid grey-stone buildings are full of cute craft shops and charming restaurants, aimed squarely at the seasonal flood of tourists who often stay on for the well-organised plethora of outdoor activities. Beware that midsummer weekends can get unbearably crowded, so try to arrive midweek or, perhaps, in September, when calm has returned.
