Elfde Gebod

Belgian in Antwerp

In the heart of the tourist zone, this ivy-clad medieval masterpiece has an astounding interior decked with angels, saints, pulpits and several deliciously sacrilegious visual jokes.

Behind religiously inspired monikers, the menu offers mostly twists on Belgian standards including rabbit stew, vol-au-vent and mussels, along with salad lunches and snacks. Outside dining hours, or after 11pm, come for a beer: they have their own brews plus a powerful St Bernardus on draught.
