Bus in Minsk

Much of Minsk's most jaw-dropping architecture from the Soviet and Lukashenko eras is outside the centre, so these two-hour double-decker bus tours are a great way to see several of them at once. Tours kick off at the classic Stalinist 'City Gates' opposite the train station.

The route takes in a bit of the Old Town before heading to the 'burbs, where supercilious giants like the National Library, Independence Palace and Lukashenko's latest white elephant, the Minsk Arena sports complex, loom.

Booths at the train station and throughout the centre sell tickets, or just show up at the bus stop near the City Gates for tour time.
