Hi there, i know - this topic was discussed here before. Yet the most posts are a bis old. So i would be really glad, if someone can tell me, if it still possible to overstay up to 15 day by paying 200 Tk. for each day?
I'm right now here with an N-Visa, which expires 8 days before my flight is going. Another extension is not an option, also because my internship will end one month before I'm leaving. So i would be glad for any answer :)

Hi there - I'm looking for a guide book on Bangladesh and it would appear the pickings are slim indeed. Bradt has one from 2012, and Lonely Planet's most recent book was published 2016. I suppose the LP one would be more useful because it's newer, but I'm not always a big fan of the LP books (and love Bradt). Has anyone used either/both of these books and does anyone have an opinion on them?

(I see the Culture Smart series has one as well, but it's not really a guide book per se).

Are there…

Hi fellow trekkers!
I'm planning on trekking to EBC from Jiri next Jan/Feb. I will be doing it independently and carrying all my own gear.
Any advice and tips gratefully received.
Cheers.

Hi,

I'm thinking about going to bangladesh in may and I'm wondering how bad the wet season actually is. I've heard and read that its supposed to be pretty rough, so is it worth travelling to Bangladesh during this period?

Thanks
Robert

Hey.

I have been offered an internship in Dhaka, and need some pointers on how I can make my stay more comfortable.

Has anyone stayed in Bangladesh for a longer period? Say 3+ months? Do you have any advice on how I can meet new friends (both locals and foreigners) and have fun in the city.

I know there were some terrorist attacks in Dhaka in the beginning of 2017 where some of foreigners got killed. Have there been any attacks since? And in what areas in Dhaka did they occur? What other…

Hi,
I hope to visit the three areas of the Chittagong Hill Tracts: Khagacchari (north, especially Sajek hills in the far north close to Myanmar); Rangamati (Kaptai lake); Bandarban (hike to Mt Keokradong).

1) How to obtain a permit? And is there an expiry date?
2)is travelling alone possible?
3) I want to camp in the hills -is this possible?

I read that the army controls the area very strongly. Could I get into trouble if I talk about the problems the ethnic people have?

Thanks!
