Up- and downhill, passing through forests, vineyards and impressive rock formations with incredible views over the Danube river, we will finally reach our goal, the village of Spitz. In Spitz we will visit a traditional wine tavern or inn (depending on season and opening hours) and try some delicious local snacks and wine (optional). I was lucky enough to be able to study in Krems, another well known city of the Wachau area. Like that, I know this region very well. This was also the time when I fell in love with it - the very charming landscape, the vineyards, the ancient villages and the culinary delicacies make it a very special place. No wonder that the landscape has been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site.Duration: 6 hours
