'Spices and books for cooks' is the credo of Babettes, with a round-the-world tour of cookbooks to browse. On weekdays, a different lunch special (such as curry) sizzles in the open kitchen, prepared with own-brand spices and fresh Naschmarkt produce. Food is served from noon to 2.30pm Monday to Friday. Evening cookery-class themes range from tapas to Tuscan cuisine.
