With its private garden amid residential houses and polished wooden interior, this well-kept Beisl is a great spot to sample the Viennese favourites and regional specialities, such as Eierschwammerl (chanterelles) and Blunzengröstl (a potato, bacon, onion and blood sausage fry-up). When it’s in season, Zanderfilet (fillet of zander) is the chef’s favourite. Midweek lunch menus cost €6.30 to €7.80.
