This avant-garde, Michelin-starred lounge-restaurant has pride of place on Getreidegasse. A food-literate crowd flocks here for cocktails and finger-food cones, miniature season-inspired taste sensations with fillings including black cod, elderflower, basil and bell pepper, and tagliolini of cep mushrooms with blueberries and celery. Mains swing from Breton lobster with coriander and peach to quail with cardamom and stuffed courgette flowers.

The only let-down is that service can be hit or miss.
