A welcome newcomer to Innsbruck's gastro scene, Oniriq is a standout for innovative tasting menus in stripped-back, industro-cool surrounds. Tucked just off Maria-Theresien-Strasse, the restaurant plays up seasonal flavours in menus (vegetarian and non) presented in the newfangled ingredient-driven way, say veal with cep mushrooms, egg yolk and apricot, or plum with spruce sprouts, curd cheese and elderflower.

Chef Christoph Bickel mans the stove and you can be guaranteed a three-hour palate-awakening experience. One for special occasions.
