Tour description provided by Viator

A five-hour moutain hike up to 1743 meters altidude and a colorful alpine landscape with a great 360 degree panorama! See waterfalls, rocks, cows, huts and more!
We climb the highest point of the Hochwechsel in the direct ascent, passing through coniferous forests, roaming over alpine mats and following the course of a torrent. In good weather we can expect a great view! Hochwechsel is part of the most eastern mountain ranges in the Alps and is twice as high as the highest peaks of the Vienna Woods. It forms the border between Lower Austria and Styria, between the Joglland and the Bucklige Welt. The mountain is not demanding and therefore well frequented, but it is famous for its weather capers. We choose a classic way up starting from Mariensee. Rock formations in the high forest, waterfalls and a colorful alpine landscape accompany us on the way.Hiking time: 5 hours | Difference in height: 750 meters | We are able to transport up to 6 persons by our own car!
