Welcome to Tom Price

Most travellers stop briefly while passing through to nearby Karijini National Park, for internet, fuel, supermarket plundering and permits to drive rail access roads (these are roads owned by the local mining company – they're generally open to all, but a permit is required).

If you're wondering – the town was named after Thomas Moore Price, the vice-president of US steel company Kaiser Steel. He was instrumental in setting up mining in the area in the early 1960s.
