Bushwalking Corridors

Trekking in Mitchell Falls & Drysdale River

Three bushwalking corridors have been established across Wunambel Gaambera Country. Permits ($90) are issued for up to 14 days access between July and October. The corridors are all arduous, remote and trackless undertakings and groups need to be totally self-sufficient, organise their own transport, be skilled in remote-area first-aid and carry safety equipment like satphones and personal locator beacons (PLBs).

Munurru Corridor follows the King Edward River from Munurru campground to Kalumburu, Lower Mitchell River Corridor tracks the river north from Punamii-Uunpuu (Mitchell Falls) to the coast and Yirinni Corridor is alongside the Hunter River.
