Welcome to Green Head & Leeman
On the way to Green Head from Jurien Bay, stop at Grigson Lookout for a superscenic view along the coast and of the Kwongan heathlands. Tiny, flat Green Head itself (population 300) was only gazetted in 1966, and has very little going on (just how we like it). There are several beautiful bays here; the horseshoe-shaped Dynamite Bay is your best bet if you fancy a dip, but it's often awash with great wads of floating seagrass. There's good fishing, snorkelling, surfing and windsurfing here, and at little Leeman (population 250, gazetted 1961) 15 minutes' drive further north. Experienced wave hounds should check the swell at the reef break at Point Louise, which forms the northern end of Anchorage Bay with Green Head to the south.
