We'll be frank: Wyperfeld National Park isn't for everyone. The main features of this vast park are river red gum, mallee scrub, dry lake beds and sand plains. While that's a bit desolate for some, there are nevertheless some attractive aspects. The park is covered with a carpet of native wildflowers in spring, and it’s a naturalist’s paradise, with more than 200 species of bird. The park also has a network of walking and cycling tracks.
