Yarra Valley Farmgate Tours

You will be picked up at 9.00am from Melbourne CBD in a comfortable minivan and transported to the Yarra Valley.  Your first stop will be for a delicious Morning Tea at the Warratina Lavender Farm including a chance to visit the Gift Shop.  From there you will travel to Rayner's Fruit Orchard, home to 450 varieties of fruit, for a tasting or tractor ride.  The next stop will be at The Gerbera and Alpaca Farm where you can enjoy the rainbow colours of the flowers and visit with the always quirky alpacas.  You will then be taken to the centre of Healesville and given free time to find some lunch and browse through the many boutiques and gourmet food stores along the main street.  After lunch depending on the season you will be able to pick some cherries or strawberries to enjoy later.  The grand finale of the day will be a visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie where you will find 10 different chocolates to taste and a chance to purchase many more.

Yarra Valley and Wineries Trike Day Tour for Two from Melbourne

Take a tour to Melbourne's glorious Yarra Valley with its magnificent valleys and vineyards and surrounding national parks and State Forests. Walk along the banks of the Yarra River at Warrandyte with a coffee in hand for morning tea and gain a different perspective of the Yarra from the one that flows through the City of Melbourne.Then, a scenic ride to Kinglake and on to the Yarra Valley through Dixons Creek as we visit wineries such as Balgownie Estate, Mandala and the TarraWarra Estate before visiting the township of Yarra Glen. Private 2-Day Food and Wine Tour to Yarra Valley from Melbourne

Day 1 You will be greeted by us at your Melbourne City Centre accommodation (or airport upon arrangement) at 10am. We tour in a luxury Mercedes Van, WiFi enabled. Your tour guide is friendly and knowledgeable on the region and all wineries visited. We venture out to the Yarra Valley along country roads that take in a mob of kangaroos en route!. First stop is De Bortoli Estate for a cheese and wine pairing that includes the famous late harvest wine, Noble One. We then depart for Coombe Estate, the once home of Australian opera diva Dame Nellie Melba and the destination for an exquisite food and wine match of oyster and sparkling blanc de blanc. Your leisurely lunch of 2 course can be chosen from a number of venues -depending on the cuisine and wine that you enjoy. These include Tokar Estate, Domaine Chandon and Ezard @ Levantine Hill. The afternoon is spent at Healesville Sanctuary which is an unstructured activity where you can walk the grounds visiting Australian wildlife including Koalas, Kangaroos, Birdlife, Dingoes and Wombats. Arriving at your accommodation at around 4pm for a well earned rest in a modern natural setting. The hotel facilities include 24 hour reception, day spa, Foxtel, gym, indoor pool, tennis courts and is set on an 18 hole golf course. Day 2 starts with a 10am pick up and we make our way to the Yarra Valley Dairy for a morning tea and cheese tasting. Yarra Valley Dairy make a range of delicious, fresh artisan cheeses from both cows and goats milk, including the much loved Persian Fetta. Just around the corner is Dominique Portet. Here we can enjoy a barrel tasting and or tour of the winery and taste the magnificent wines of the 10th generation winemaking family. Dominique's signature wines include Sparkling Rose and a Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon. Lunch can be chosen from a selection of winery restaurants that your guide will offer you and again based on your preferences. After lunch we can continue wine tasting explore a gallery, visit the local township of Healesville, visit a Gin Distillery and meet a winemaker or 2 along the way.      We leave the Yarra Valley with lots of fond memories and head back to Melbourne City Centre (or Melbourne Airport) for an approximate 5 pm return. All timing is approximate and flexible for you. All activities proposed can be changed with timing and sequence of itinerary.
