Welcome to Corinna & the Pieman River
Corinna is the green and gold of Australia made literal – a former gold-mining town inside the deep rainforest of the Tarkine. As a humming mining settlement in the late 1800s, it had two hotels, a post office, shops, a slaughter yard and a population of 2500. These days, it's a tranquil place with only one business – Corinna Wilderness Experience – providing accommodation in camp sites and cabins, a restaurant, cruises down the Pieman River to one of the wildest beaches in Australia, kayak hire and a number of good walks. There are no TVs, no phone signal and no wi-fi; there's just living.
