Part of Wooroonooran National Park, 27km from Innisfail, this canopy walk and other trails passing through the rainforest for over 1km (350m elevated, 2.5km return in total) is a wonderful excursion. Climb up 100 steps to Far North Queensland's highest rainforest observation tower (37m); the views are fabulous. Allow at least an hour to complete the 2.5km, wheelchair-accessible circuit.
This passes through the traditional lands of the Ma:Mu and panels along the way introduce you to their traditional culture.
The Palmerston Hwy continues west of here to Millaa Millaa, passing the entrance to the Waterfalls Circuit.
