Welcome to Peregian Beach & Sunshine Beach
The low-rise, low-key beach suburbs of Peregian Beach and Sunshine Beach punctuate a 15-kilometre stretch of uncrowded, unobstructed beach that shoots north from Coolum to the rocky northeast headland of Noosa National Park. At the southern end, Peregian Beach is all about long, solitary beach walks, excellent surf breaks and the not-so-uncommon spotting of whales breaking offshore. It's also popular with 'yummy mummies', catching up at breezy local cafes with strollers and yoga mats in tow. Further north, the laid-back-latte ethos of Sunshine Beach attracts Noosa locals and surfies escaping the summer hordes. It also draws food lovers, here to savour one of the Sunshine Coast's hottest restaurants. On the beach itself, sandy walks morph into bush trails over the headland, leading to the wild, sandy sweep of Alexandria Bay and, further on, Noosa’s Laguna Bay. Road access to Noosa National Park is from McAnally Dr or Parkedge Rd.
