Day 1 Morning pick-up from your Canberra accommodation before a leisurely drive south in time for lunch in the Snowy Mountains. Choose a 1hr Segway or a 6km walk along a peaceful river before checking into your cozy mountain lodge in the picturesque village of Thredbo. Enjoy some local wine and cheese before dinner at the lodge.
Day 2 Hike into the Australian Alps to the top of Australia! (13km return). See unique alpine flora, enjoy 360-degree views from Mt Kosciuszko and experience the dramatic vistas that are unique to the high country. Enjoy dinner in Thredbo village and relax back at the lodge.
Day 3 Enjoy a scenic drive from altitude to sea level through stunning national parks to Green Cape Lightstation. Listen to an intriguing commentary on the history of the lighthouse before dinner and drinks in the heritage listed lightkeepers’ quarters where you will be staying for the night.
Day 4 Hike a 9km section of a magnificent coastal track with a refreshing swim and gourmet picnic lunch at the end. Stop at a ‘secret’ location for a 2hr guided Magical Oyster Tour before checking in to your stylish beach house accommodation.
Day 5 Choose a 2-hour guided stand-up-paddleboard (SUP) experience or just discover wonderful Tathra on foot or by bike. After lunch overlooking the ocean, head north to the colorful village of Tilba and visit a boutique Aboriginal art and craft gallery. Relax in the beautiful seaside town of Narooma before dinner with views of Montague Island.
Day 6 This morning enjoy a 2-hour guided kayak experience on the Tomaga River or a relaxing coastal walk. Have lunch on the picturesque Clyde River before making your way back to Canberra via the historic village of Braidwood.
This tour is a feast for all your senses. Not only will you see stunning scenery, but you will also hear the roar of the crashing surf, taste the salt of the sea and smell the tang of a receding tide.
