We are a family of three. My daughter will be three in 2019. I visit Australia quite often, say every five or so years, with family in Melbourne and my MO to date has been to spend a week or two with them before jetting off somewhere else. Next on my to do list for explorations after the Melbourne hellos will be South Australia.

We will be looking to fly in to Adelaide mid-April 2019 and to leave three weeks later - so our time shall include the Easter Weekend.

Suggested itineraries…

My wife grew up in Korea, and does not like to swim. However, I need to experience some of the amazing snorkeling. Maybe not the actual Great Barrier Reef, but as close as I can get. It's our 10 year wedding anniversery, so we're flying from Korea during July to Sydney, Australia (2 weeks stay).

We can afford to fly... for example, to Cairnes. We're also planning on not renting a car and using public transportation, exclusively. Is Cairnes the destination for us? We would probably stay for 10…

Hello -- what's the best place for buying a used mountain bike in Sydney? Is it gumtree? I'm used to Craigslist, but it does not really seem to be a thing there.

Bonus question: are there any shops selling decent used gear who will promise to buy stuff back after you use it?

Hello fellow travellers,

I am writing to seek some tips/recommendations on my upcoming trip.

Who is traveling: myself, wife with our 6 month old baby
When: last week of May (flying in Goldcoast) - duration: 10 days (flying out of Sydney)

So far I have only booked the flights and rental car. I have done some research on doing a road trip with 6 month old and seems like its not unheard of. We would definitely like to keep it super relaxed and non hectic - no more than ~4 hrs drive everyday.

I…

Heyy!
I was meant to come out to Australia in Feb but I got seriously ill and had to cancel. I didn't know how long I would ill for so booked to go out in October.
I got better sooner then j thought but honestly the UK is not meant for me and I want to head out as soon as I can, this will mean less money they planned.
Can it be done?
Can you travel out to Australia with little money (1,500) as a starter.
Thanks.

Hi guys, i applied for my second year visa a month ago and received an email today asking for evidence for the work i did. I completed the three months work and everything but my problem is the amount of actual evidence I've got is just embarrassing. I left Australia almost two years ago so I'm struggling to sign into my commonwealth bank account to get bank statements and the only actual evidence i have is the signed form from my employer and invoice slips which he used to pay us with. Im…

This site is best visited in the cooler months, it can reach 50 degrees in summer and weeks of 40 plus is common and over 30 at night.
If you are camping a number of choices main camp, where fires are permitted. No flush toilets or hot water, unpowered. A better option camp at mungo lodge a similar distance to the sites. With all amenities, hot water, flushing toilets, a kitchenette only with a microwave . You have to use the electric BBQ to cook. Access to restaurant and bar. Though it closes…
