Day 1 Perth There are no activities planned until an evening welcome meeting. If you arrive early, opt to visit nearby Freemantle, visit a vineyard at the Swan Valley Wineries, hit the beach at Cottesloe, take a day trip to Rottnest Island to spot the adorable Quokka, or explore the city at your own pace! Day 2 Perth/Kalgoorlie-Boulder (1B) Drive to Kalgoorlie, the largest town in the region, founded during the gold rush in 1893. Transport: Private Vehicle (8.00-9.75 hours)
Day 3 Kalgoorlie-Boulder/Esperance (1B, 1D) Continue on to Esperance, taking in the blue ocean and white-sand beaches. Included Activities: Royal Flying Doctors Visit Super Pit Gold Mine Visit Transport: Private Vehicle (5.00-5.50 hours, 400km)
Day 4 Esperance (1B, 1L, 1D) Get out and explore this gorgeous national park. Walk from Rossiter Bay to Lucky Bay and spend time enjoying the area. Visit Hellfire Bay and Thistle Cove before spending some free time enjoying the beaches or hiking around a little more. Day 6 Albany/Margaret River (1B) Head for the Rainbow Coast. Stop to see highlights along the way like the Gap and Natural Bridge. Take a canopy treetop walk. Day 8 Margaret River/Perth (1B) Enjoy a cultural and bush tucker tour at the Ngilgi Caves to learn more about Aboriginal culture and legends. Stop in Busselton for lunch and check out the famous jetty. Time permitting, opt to take the train ride to the end of the 1.8km long jetty. Continue on to Perth to spend a night in the city. Day 9 Perth There are tons of options for the day. Day 11 Geraldton/Kalbarri (1B, 1D) Visit the Principality of Hutt River, the oldest 'micronation' in Australia. See some coastal attractions before reaching Kalbarri. Opt to horseback ride, abseil, canoe or simply relax on the beach. Camp under the stars in a traditional swag (padded canvas bedroll). Day 13 Kalbarri/Monkey Mia (1B) Continue up the coast to Monkey Mia and Shark Bay. Visit the historic Hamelin Pool Telegraph Station and the famous stromatolites. Day 14 Monkey Mia (1B, 1L, 1D) Get up close and personal with bottlenose dolphins at Shark Bay World Heritage Area. A major research site, these mammals come right up to the shore on a regular basis. Day 17 Exmouth (1B, 1L, 1D) Spend the day exploring Cape Range National Park including Yardie Creek and Turquoise Bay. Opt to scuba dive in Navy Pier or snorkel the blue waters. Venture to the Vlamingh Head lighthouse. Enjoy a final dinner in Exmouth together. Day 18 Exmouth (1B) Depart at any time. Additional Notes: Ask your sales GCO or agent about the 'Perth Express'.
