Enjoy traveling by private luxury vehicle to the World Heritage–listed Blue Mountains and Jenolan Caves on this day trip from Sydney. With a private guide, you'll explore Featherdale Wildlife Park, visit the towns of Blaxland, Leura, and Wentworth, admire the view from Govetts Leap, and head underground at the Jenolan Caves, one of the world's oldest cave systems. This tour can be tailored to suit any special interests you have. Hotel pickup and drop-off in Sydney is provided.
After morning pickup at your hotel in the Sydney central business district by your private driver-guide, your day trip begins with the drive to Featherdale Wildlife Park. Relax on the journey in a sedan, 4-wheel-drive vehicle, or minivan, depending on the size of your party. One of the best wildlife parks in Sydney, Featherdale is home to kangaroos, which you can feed under supervision, as well as more than 2,000 other animals including koalas, crocodiles, Tasmanian devils, wombats, and fairy penguins. After your visit, continue your tour by crossing the picturesque Nepean River and traveling along Western Mountain Highway via the sleepy towns of Blaxland, Leura, and Wentworth. Stop at Blackheath to view Great Blue Mountains Canyon from the Govetts Leap lookout. Next, head to the Jenolan Caves area via a scenic road through eucalyptus forests, and stop at Grand Arch at Jenolan Caves, the hiding place of sparkling limestone. Take in the natural beauty of the location, see the mysterious Blue Lake, and join a guided cave tour through the Lucas, Imperial or Chifley caves (entrance to the caves is at your own expense). On the drive back to Sydney, stop at Katoomba for the best views of the Three Sisters. Your day trip ends when you arrive back in the city at your hotel. While you're in the Blue Mountains, you'll make a stop for lunch (own expense).
