A leading light in the burgeoning South Australian distilling scene, Applewood has turned a chilly old 1920s cold store on the outskirts of Gumeracha into a warm-your-heart gin palace with a gritty industrial aesthetic. Run by a couple of former winemakers, the emphasis is on terroir and the spirit of the land. Tasting flights start at $15; cheese platters available.
