A 12-day adventure-filled trip traveling from Darwin to Cairns through the most remote parts of the Savannah Way.  We travel east through Kakadu, Mataranka, Lorrella Springs and Lawn Hill before finishing up in the tropical rainforest on the outskirts of Cairns. Our tours are focused on providing you with an Australian outback adventure.  We explore the best natural attractions along the Savannah Way; observing native wildlife in their natural habitat, hiking through gorges, discovering ancient aboriginal rock art and swimming in pristine natural waterholes.
Day 1 - We'll pick you up around 6am.  Our first stop is a wildlife cruise on Corroboree Billabong before entering Kakadu to explore the Aboriginal paintings at Ubirr. We will visit the Bowali Visitor Centre before setting up camp.Day 2 - Today we visit Jim Jim Falls and Twin Falls which involves a short cruise.  We then head stop at Yellow Water Billabong before setting up camp.Day 3 - This morning we will go to the historic town of Pine Creek.  Afterwards, we'll visit Katherine and Mataranka for a swim.  We will camp in Elsey National Park.Day 4 - This morning we stop at Roper Bar, wander the ruins of a historic police station and visit Lomarieum Lagoon.  Later on, we will stop at Nathan River Ranger Station and Information Centre in Limmen National Park.  Tonight, we will camp at Butterfly Gorge.Day 5 - Our first stop is the Southern Lost City, then on to Lorrella Springs, a true hidden gem where we will spend the next two nights camping and exploring. Day 6 - With almost a thousand kms of tracks on the property, we spend the daylight hours exploring Lorrella Springs, visiting swimming holes, aboriginal sites and viewpoints around the station. Day 7 - We stop at a remote outback town called Borroloola before moving onto Echo Gorge. Tonight, we’ll camp near the NT / QLD border.Day 8 - Our first stop is Hells Gates, we then cross Nicholson River where you’ll see the giant causeway.  We take station trails to Adels Grove and camp nearby for two nights.Day 9 - Today we spend the day in Boodjamulla (Lawn Hill) National Park.  We go to Lawn Hill Gorge for a swim, visit the upper gorge (Indarri Falls) and complete the Island Stack walk.  You’ll have plenty of opportunities to swim throughout the day.Day 10 - We make our way to Leichhardt Falls a wide-open set of falls on the Leichhardt River, before stopping in at camp 119, the last camp on the ill-fated Burke and Wills expedition.  We stop in Normanton to visit Krys Crocodile, a replica of the largest (8.63 metre) crocodile ever shot.  Later, we go to Lake Belmore near Croydon, an old gold rush town where we will spend the night. Day 11 - Today we’ll travel to Georgetown. On route we will stop at Cumberland’s chimney, a remanent from the gold rush days.  We’ll also stop at a large waterhole where you’ll have the opportunity to spot local birdlife.  We will then continue on to one of Australia’s best mineral Collections, the Ted Elliott Collection before moving on to Undara Lava tubes.  Here, you will be taken on a 2-hour guided tour of the tubes with a local guide.  We will camp at Undara. Day 12 - We head to the Kalkani Crater where you get great views of the surrounding volcanic regions.  We’ll then make our way into the tropical rainforest to Millaa Millaa Falls where we have a final swim before we arrive in Cairns around 6pm.  You’ll be dropped off at your accommodation in Cairns.
