Experience the excitement of cruising with Humpback whales during their migration through the pristine Solitary Island Marine Park. We take only 23 passengers aboard "Pacific Explorer", ensuring you have ample opportunity to see the whales up close and personal. This is our 23rd year of continuous operation, so we have the experience and knowledge of how to maximise your time with the whales. Whale watching is our passion and this is best shared with small passenger groups, where you have freedom to move about the wide deck, uninterrupted 360 degree viewing, no restrictive seating and no crowds. Cruises are 2 hrs, departing from Coffs Harbour International Marina. As we locate whales from headlands prior to each cruise, we generally have whales near the boat within 15 minutes of leaving the harbour.

Our Boat "Pacific Explorer" Pacific Explorer was purpose built as a stable sea-going vessel and to a stronger, government regulated standard than conventional boats.
Whale Watch Experience and Pacific Explorer have a perfect safety record.
Having a wide hull and low centre of gravity Pacific Explorer has reduced rocking and rolling motion, which helps as you move about the boat and with taking photos.
Whilst we specialise in smaller, more comfortable passenger numbers per cruise, on average we take approximately 2000 guests whale watching each year, on 100 cruises.
Our guests have ranged from 8 weeks to 96 years and we welcome passengers with disabilities as much as possible.Success RateOver the last 3 seasons we have had a 100% success rate at finding whales and our average over the last decade is 98%
Sea and Weather Conditions Above all else, your safety and enjoyment is paramount to us and we will not compromise that to cruise when we believe weather or sea conditions are not favourable.
