Ready for the experience of a lifetime? Come on our Kayak Turtle Tour.  Tours operate daily from the south end of Palm Cove and paddle out to Double Island from there.  Once we are at Double Island, it's an incredible experience.  There are mangroves to explore, coral reefs to paddle over and even a cave to explore if the conditions are right.More often than not, the water is crystal clear.  There is an abundance of  small rays and turtles swimming  through the water, and its even possible to see a dolphins, dugongs or whales on the tour, but you have to be very lucky. Kayaks, life jackets, juice, water and fruit is provided.
You'll be picked up from your accommodation in Cairns at 6:15am by shuttle bus, or you can make your own way and meet at the southern end of Palm Cove for a 7am departure. This area is the closest part of the Great Barrier Reef to the mainland. The kayak tour is suitable for all levels and kids as young as 7 years old. The tours normally go for 3.5 hours. You'll paddle over to Double Island. This usually takes 20 - 30 minutes.  Once  there, it is time to explore the reef.  More often than not we see lots of different marine life like Eagle rays, Shovel nose sharks, mangrove rays, all kinds of colorful fish and sea turtles Your tour concludes in Palm Cove, or the shuittle bus will return you to your Cairns accommodation at 11am.
