You might be tempted to snigger at the raft of Byron clichées on offer at this always busy cafe (golden lattes, coconut cold brew, kombucha, tousle-haired locals of both sexes, a '70s psych rock soundtrack etc), but that would mean missing out on food and drinks that are made with love and a remarkable attention to detail.
Breakfasts are healthy and hearty: coconut quinoa porridge, brimming paleo bowls of kale, broccoli, poached eggs and pulled pork, or young Australia's national dish: avocado on sourdough. Lunches might be a pretty plate of citrus-cured kingfish with watercress and beets. Staff are chilled but passionate about their product, too. Grab takeaways from the bakery offshoot next door, which also does a great range of gluten-free sweet treats.
