Pick up from your Port Douglas accommodation will commence from 7:20am. Jump on board and relax in air-conditioned comfort in the Mercedes Sprinter, your transport for the day. Your Daintree and Rainforest day trip is limited to a maximum of 11 guests, and will provide a intimate and informative experience with your guide who will provide interesting facts about this unique rainforest throughout the day. The first stop will be Mossman Gorge where you can take a walk along the elevated boardwalks through the rainforest. Cross the Daintree River and enter the rich and diverse ecosystems of the Wet Tropics. Then take a beach walk at the only place that the two World Heritage-listed areas, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef meet. At this stop, your guide will share facts about Lt. James Cooks' voyage up the coast of Australia.For morning tea, enjoy a cup of local Daintree Tea or freshly plunged coffee served with fresh fruit and muffins. Then cruise the Cooper Creek and welcome to the land of the prehistoric estuarine crocodile and stunning wetlands. Lunch will be a delicious meal at a beautiful rainforest resort. After lunch it is then time to take a personalized, guided rainforest walk along the Marrdja or Jindalba walkways. Stop at Alexandra Lookout for panoramic views of the Daintree Rainforest and out to the Coral Sea. Next treat yourself to the rare and unusual fruits of the tropics in creamy fruit ice cream (at guests own expense) from Daintree Ice Cream. Finally, head back to Port Douglas where you'll be returned to your accommodation.
