Just south of Spanish Lagoon, Mangel Halto is a small sandy beach with clear, calm waters and a few palm umbrellas for shade. The beach is unique for its cluster of mangroves at the southern end. The beachfront is protected by a reef, which makes Mangel Halto an excellent and accessible snorkeling spot.
Strong swimmers can enter the water on the southern side of the mangroves and allow the current to carry them north to the main beach. This is a good way to see the outside of the reef, where the coral is more vibrant and the marine life more varied.
