You're not going nuts if you see squirrel on this London menu

Lonely Planet WriterAn upmarket Indian restaurant in London has added a very unusual choice to its menu for the next few weeks - roasted squirrel. The special is being served up from this week until 21 February by head chef Rakesh Nair at the Cinnamon Club in Westminster.

The dish, with a price tag of £22, contains squirrel legs and shoulders which are marinated with spices and pineapple juice. The squirrel pieces are then cooked in a tandoor oven while the belly will be turned into a curry served alongside the main ingredients.
The unusual dish had been created to coincide with the appearance on Channel 4 by Chef Nair. He will be starring on Jamie & Jimmy's Friday night feast, and part of the programme will see him explore recipes with other unusual meats.
