WTF: scientists identify space debris speeding towards the Indian Ocean

Scientists have identified a mysterious piece of space debris which is destined to crash into the Indian Ocean on 13 November.

Known as WTF – an abbreviation of its full name WT1190F – the unidentified object is believed to be man-made, but little else is known about its origins. The prevailing theory is that the object comes from an early space mission. WTF is expected to splash down at around 5pm about 65 miles off the southern tip of Sri Lanka. Read more:
