World's smelliest plant in full bloom in Honolulu

The corpse plant is considered one of the smelliest plants in the world, and people are lining up to take a whiff. The plant, which blooms rarely and unpredictably, bloomed over the weekend at Foster Botanical Garden.

The plant emits a smell compared to sweaty socks or limburger cheese, which scientists say attracts pollinating flies that normally feed on rotting flesh. Administrators at Foster Botanical Garden say they have recorded record attendance numbers since planting the botanical rarity. Read more: kitv.com
