World Tai Chi festival to bring martial arts enthusiasts to Hainan Island in April

The world’s first Tai Chi festival will be held on Hainan Island in southern China next month.

From 8-12 April, the first annual World Tai Chi Culture Forum will take place at Nanshan Temple not far from Sanya in southern Hainan. Festivities will include performances by Tai Chi masters, training sessions, traditional ceremonies and a parade. The festival hopes to bring awareness about the discipline of Tai Chi and aims to welcome those new to the sport as well as experienced Tai Chi practitioners over the course of the festival.
