Chocolate model of the Eiffel Tower and other world icons go on display in Astana

The Eiffel Tower, a Venetian mask and the Russian crown jewels have all gone on display in Astana, Kazakhstan...rendered in chocolate and marzipan.

The chocolate icons, made by famed chocolatier Nikolai Popov, went on display at the Palace of Independence on Friday. Other notable items made from chocolate include Faberge eggs, a grand piano, a chess board, miniature dinosaurs and historic Kazakh armour. If put altogether, the chocolate used for the exhibition would weigh more than 700kg. Read more:
