Week-long jazz festival kicks off in Panama City
The week-long festival has become a stalwart of the Panamanian music scene and has attracted more than 20,000 concert-goers at past events. This year’s lineup will feature notable names such as Randy Weston, Danny Rivera, and Terri Lyne Carrington, among others, and concerts will take place each day starting at 4 PM. Music enthusiasts will also be able to attend informal jam sessions, while visiting musicians can attend music clinics, master classes, and auditions for music conservatories around the world. The festival also coincides with the 4th Latin American Music Therapy Symposium, which will host part of the educational events scheduled for the festival. Tickets are available on the festival’s website.
