VW theme park unaffected by emissions scandal

While the current emissions scandal at VW continues to hit the headlines, residents of Wolfsburg, the car manufacturer's home in northern Germany, are reported to be 'filled with anxiety and rage' at the company's conduct.

Many of the residents are reliant on the company for their livelihood; aside from Volkswagen vehicle factories, administrative and research and development offices, the town has a theme park, Autostadt, which is dedicated to cars and is a subsidiary of VW, attracting over two million visitors a year. A spokesperson from Autostadt said that they had not seen a decline in visitor numbers since the scandal broke. Read more: thelocal.de
