Vail Resorts unveils gigantic ski area

After buying Park City Mountain Resort earlier this year for $182.5 million, Vail Resorts, Inc. has announced a $50 million plan to link the Utah ski area with Vail-owned Canyons Resort to the north. The resulting ski area will be the largest in the US for the 2015-2016 season. Vail’s will upgrade the resorts with a high-speed gondola linking the two areas, as well as refurbished and expanded restaurants. The completed resort will be called Park City Mountain Resort.
