US 'preclearance' status for Stockholm Arlanda

US officials have announced plans for Stockholm's Arlanda Airport to become a 'preclearance' airport, meaning travellers will go through customs checks before they land on US soil. The new procedures aim to reduce waiting times at US airports and increase security and will be introduced after a negotiation period likely to take up to 18 months. Read more:
