Unexploded WW2 bomb found in London leads to traffic chaos

Traffic in central London was severely disrupted on Monday and 50 people were evacuated as police sealed off the area following the discovery of a WW2 unexploded bomb on a building site.

The 1,300ft police cordon was set up as officers closed roads in the Tower Bridge area where the bomb was unearthed. The Mirror Online reported that as well as closing down traffic around the Victorian landmark, scores of people were evacuated as the bomb squad arrived at the scene of the discovery in Bermondsey, south of the River Thames.
