Turkish tourists rescued after hike to Trolltunga
Four Turkish tourists have been rescued by helicopter from Norway's Trolltunga rock promontory, after they were unable to find their way back down in the dark.
Rescuers said that, while the tourists didn't require any emergency medical treatment, they had been unprepared for the ten-twelve hour return hike and were wearing suits, summer shoes and were carrying hand luggage. Officials reiterated that the dangers of hiking to the popular natural attraction should not be underestimated. The incident comes just weeks after a 24-year-old Australian woman died when she fell hundreds of metres from the rock. Read more: thelocal.no
