Turkish Cypriot Football Federation (KTFF), which is not a member of either FIFA or UEFA,  has decided to apply for membership in their Greek counterpart on the divided island, the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). The Turkish Cypriots want to stop their players signing contracts for teams in Turkey without fees. Representatives of 42 Turkish Cypriot teams have issued a 45-day deadline for Greek and Turkish officials in Cyprus to come up with a solution for their economic problems.
