Travellers warned of Zurich train station scam
Travellers buying tickets at Zurich’s SBB train station are being warned of a scam in operation at ticket machines.
Called the ‘Marseille trap’ as it originated in Marseille in France, the scam involves banknotes being trapped in the machine during ticket purchase and when people move off to seek help with the error, scammers move in to take the cash from the machine. People buying tickets are being warned to stay with the machine if they get an error message and send someone else for assistance. Read more: thelocal.ch
