People travelling to Greece in the following weeks are being advised by experts such as Travelex to carry enough cash for three to four days so that they have enough funds in case banks and ATMs close because of the financial instability in the country. The deadline for Greece to reach an agreement with the International Monetary Fund is 30 June, and there is a lot of speculation about Greece exiting the euro zone. The demand for travel to Greece is still strong, according to tour operators and hotel owners, but there are some concerns about the impact of the economic crisis on the tourist season.
