The British government is set to introduce a stricter system for passport checks for Brits crossing the Channel to France, which is expected to cause travel delays over the Easter period. The new system will come into effect on 8 April where every person’s passport will be thoroughly checked. Ferry operator P&O believes this could double the amount of time getting a car checked for boarding.
