Toxic lake blows poisonous foam over Bengaluru

Citizens of Bengaluru (Bangalore) are used to air-pollution, but poisonous foam is something else.

High winds have been whisking up mountains of foam on the surface of the notoriously polluted Bellandur lake, and the toxic bubbles are blowing across the city, causing chaos in affected areas. Despite being India’s IT hub, Bengaluru still relies on colonial-era drainage, and huge amounts of chemical pollution end up in the city’s waterways every year. Read more bbc.co.uk
