Tourists return to Mustang as Nepal’s recovery gathers pace

The number of people visiting Mustang in Nepal has increased dramatically in recent weeks, with Indian pilgrims to the temple of Muktinath leading the charge.

The district, which includes sections of the Annapurna Circuit trek and the fortified city of Lo Manthang, saw only minor damage in the April and May earthquakes, and the Indian government has lowered the fees for trekkers to encourage people to return to this mountainous region.
